Nailed It! is an American reality streaming television series that premiered on March 9, 2018 on Netflix. The serial is a bake-off competition in the style of reality television, where three amateur bakers compete to replicate complicated cakes and confectionery in gild to win a $10,000 cash prize and a "nailed it" trophy.
A second season was released on June 29, 2018. A holiday season, dubbed Nailed It! Vacation!, was released on December seven, 2018. The third season was released on May 17, 2019. A 2nd holiday flavor of Nailed It! Holiday! was released on November 22, 2019.[1] The fourth season was released on Apr i, 2020. The fifth season, dubbed Nailed It! Double Trouble, is the series' starting time spin-off flavor that features contestants competing in pairs. It premiered on March 26, 2021.[2] The sixth flavor was released on September fifteen, 2021.[iii]
On March 1, 2022, it was reported that production was suspended indefinitely on the series after crew members went to strike to secure a contract with the International Brotherhood of Theatrical Stage Employees.[4]
The series has received disquisitional acclaim and was nominated for 3 Primetime Emmy Awards, including twice for Outstanding Competition Program and once for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program. The latter nomination fabricated Nicole Byer the first Black woman to exist nominated for the award.
Premise [edit]
Nailed Information technology! was inspired past the craze of people trying and failing to make elaborate cakes they found on the Net.[5] 3 amateur bakers with demonstrated poor baking skills attempt to re-create edible masterpieces for a $10,000 prize and the Nailed It! trophy. Competitors have part in two challenges over the course of the 35-infinitesimal episodes; their efforts are judged by co-hosts Nicole Byer and Jacques Torres, joined by a different guest judge each episode.
The get-go challenge is chosen "Bakery's Selection", where the contestants pick 1 of three existing confectionery treats and attempt to recreate information technology. The winner of this challenge gets a special prize and is allowed to wearable a golden chef'southward hat.
In the 2d challenge, "Smash It or Fail Information technology", contestants have two hours to recreate a complicated cake from scratch. They each receive a "Panic Push", which allows them to get three minutes of assistance from one of the judges. The worst-performing bakery from the get-go challenge gets a second push to distract the other bakers – the specific function varies depending on the episode, just normally involves Nicole annoying the bakers.[6] The three judges decide on the winning block based upon presentation and gustatory modality. The winner receives a trophy and the $10,000 prize.[seven] Withal in one episode, glory contestant Paul Scheer decided to split the $x,000 between his competitors and continue the trophy.

All six episodes of the starting time season were released on Netflix on March 9, 2018.[viii] The second season features half dozen regular episodes and 1 bonus episode, and was released on Netflix on June 29, 2018.[ix] The flavor ends with a crossover special, featuring the "Fab V" of Netflix's Queer Eye series, with the serial' food and wine expert Antoni Porowski serving equally guest estimate. The 3rd season was released on May 17, 2019, with 6 episodes.[10]
The 4th season was released on April 1, 2020,[11] followed the fifth flavour premiered on March 26, 2021 and the 6th season on September xv, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 5th and sixth season featured slight differences such as cake selections being done verbally rather than by running towards them, the rectangular judges panel existence replaced by a big semi-circumvolve, and the contestants kitchens being socially-distanced.[12]

A Mexican version of the bear witness debuted in February 2019. ¡Nailed it! México is hosted past comedian Omar Chaparro and professional person chef Anna Ruiz, along with guest judges. Sylvia Weinstock appears in one episode as a guest estimate.[23] [24] A French version of the show debuted in October 2019. C'est du gâteau! is hosted by humorist Artus and professional chef Noémie Honiat, forth with guest judges. Jacques Torres appears in 1 episode equally a judge.[25] The Spanish version of the show, Niquelao! (Nailed Information technology! Spain), debuted in October 2019, hosted by actress La Terremoto de Alcorcón and professional chef Christian Escribà, along with guest judges.[26] A German version of the show debuted on Netflix in January 2020, hosted by actress and model Angelina Kirsch.
